Best Argument for God's Existence Ever!

Time and again I find that the funniest things on the internet are published by the pro-religion crowd on the Guardian's Comment is Free page. Apparently this time, the reason to believe in God is as a kind of untouchable hobby, something nobody can stop you doing if you want some relaxing time alone.
I'm quite in favour of the general idea that we could manage to slow down the pace of the modern workplace a little without losing a huge amount. We could do with a little extra holiday time or more flexible hours, especially in the more stressful jobs. (As a point of order I'm not including advertising executive, middle-manglement or other pretend jobs here.)
So, pack away all of your rational arguments for the non-existence of God, ladies and gentlemen! We should join the ranks of the faithful and get a little more 'me' time. Apart from that time spent in church listening to the pious man drone on about 2,000 year old fairy stories on the only reliable day off you get in a week of course.

Why do you hate Jesus?

How can I hate someone I never met?

Ah, sorry, I couldn't resist.

How many people do you think are aware of the existence of this blog so soon..... possibly only the people who you've personally told about it!

Also I guess my internet 'handle' didn't help.

It was supposed to include the link to my blog artificialhabitat.wordpress.com, where my secret identity turns out to not be secret

ArrrrrGGGGHHHH. I just spent ages writing a comment and fucking blogger just ate it....!!!! grrrr!

Calm......calm.....
OK.

Yes sorry to disappoint you, you probably thought you had your very first troll.

All I tried to say in my comment was that basically the CiF article was shit but basically quite funny, and the commenters on CiF dealt with it quite well, though no doubt they'll be accused of being nasty.

Tsk tsk, language! I am awaiting the arrival of several homely folks from a walled garden, but they seem to be absent. It would be a pity if the true believers failed to engage in debate off territory. Still, it's early days yet...

have you ever tried to debate with a religious person?
Failing to actually debate is their key ploy.

Interestingly, I recently read on the forums at Catholic.com (a cavalcade of hilarity if ever there was one) that Islam, because it was supposedly handed down to just one man, a prophet if you will, is more of a cult than a religion. Catholicism on the other hand...

CiF is usually pretty funny. I quite like to see the 'debate' disintegrate into the inevitable off-topic bunfight.

Yeah, I place secret little bets with myself.

Just how long will it take for A.C. Grayling's latest post about religion to get trolled half to death?

The answer is somewhere down in the microsecond range I think.
